Please, my scale has been "borrowed", just like my hip waders I havent seen for 4 years, and I need to make sure I am giving my dairy steers enough feed, they have been consuming hay like crazy. I am guessing they are between250#-350#. Aproximatly how much would a 5 gallon pail of grower weigh?? Feed bag recommends 1# PER DAY PER HUNDERED WEIGHT OR 1 # PER day per month of age up to 5 lb's a day. I dont want to over feed them grower, but definatly do not want to short them. Fathter in law says to let em eat all the grower mixed with cracked corn they want. If I do that I am worried they'll get all plugged up or just Shat it all out rather than growing from the extra.
