OK, here's what I did. I sent an e-mail to John Deere corporate and was surprised to get an e-mail back on a Sunday. Fellow working from home. I explained the situation and he said ALL that oil was FULL synthetic.
I e-mailed back and explained I know that but the container SAYS SEMI-synthetic and which is correct? He e-mailed back to ask the dealer.
Now, I have two nice dealers but they don't even know they have the oil, so I ordered some 5W-40 Turbo/Diesel Mobil One from WalMart. It's supposedly the same as Delvac 5W-40 synthetic and is turbo diesel rated with the top testing CI or whatever numbers. Way over what my turbo JD calls for. Paid $4.50 a quart at WalMart and I felt lucky to get it. These synthetic oils are the greatest and is the future.
Sure wish I could have figured out the John Deere thing.
