Anyone ever hear of an auctioneer having "scapegoats", people that he pays to jack up the price of an auction item?
I recall going to an auction where I could Identify 5 people in the crowd that bid on EVERYTHING, but NEVER won anything.
I found several of these guys inferring with the auctioneer closely. I happened to meet up with one of them, and told him straight up that he was a fricking crook. He just grinned and walked off.
