My Dad was dead set against having an auction even though he quit farming in 1999. He said it just advertises for all kinds of crooks to come look your place over to come back later. So when he died in October having an auction wasn't even considered. Took the best to a consignment auction or dealer to sell and sold the rest to a junk man I trusted. So far it has worked out good.
