9n stopped production in 1941.. however 8n went till 52.
The hyd system between a 9n and 8n is very similar.. and the hyd system betweent he 9n/2n and the fergy belly pumps are similar.. at least ont he t* 20 series.
If your pump is the belly pump and it takes a heavy mineral oil.. then yes.. the 90wt oil at tractor supply marked for use with ford from 1939-1952 should work.
if the rings were not right and the cyl was not repalced.. you very well could ahve a significant hyd leak at the mouth of the cyl.
