Carburetor Rebuild

I have a very slow leak of gas coming off what looks like a wet carb. I presume this is because the gaskets are worn out or whatever. Rather than just put in a new, what I'll call, main gasket I thought it might be time to rebuild the carb. I have never done this before. Having purchased a video on how to tune up a Super A one of the segments is how to rebuild the carburetor. They make it look like something my 5 year old should be able to accomplish with out too much trouble. Should I expect this job to be this easy ??
