Now, those are creatively described noises...I just wish I could recall ever hearing anything like that... Poor humor aside, and seriously: "...drive down...": d"you mean "coast" down, with foot off the gas, the engine acting as partial brake, OR actually driving down, gaining speed or going like a bat out of..you know.. If "coasting" down, is sound cyclic, following engine or wheel revs (regular, faster as tractor speeds up, OR more or less random? If driving down, it"s immaterial, as you"re gonna kill yourself anyhow (more poor humor!!) If when you pushed the clutch in, going downhill, the noise didn"t slow down considerably, it sounds like something else, not the engine (pushing the clutch in lets the engine drop to an idle, and engine noises should"ve slowed as engine revs slowed).
