My daughter ran for the first time this year. (7th grade) She really enjoyed it, course it helps that she's the fastest on her team. They are'nt as fast as some of the other schools though. She just started running in Aug. so she should really improve next year. She's got the body for it, tall and lean. I told her that all she needs to be truly great is a desire to win. Good luck to your granddaughter, that's quite an accomplishment in a field that big.
