A disk is ideal for working a food plot. Go over it two or three times if needed, you don't really want or need to plow it's just extra work. I would look for a used disk or ask a friend to borrow. I only plant my food plot once a year about the third week in August. Drag it with a piece of fence to smooth and once or twice lightly after broadcasting fertilizer. Broadcast seed drag again. Pray for rain. Works well for me every year. That's about all I have to say about that.
