Keith: pressure wil;l be proportional to the load. The pump will not deliver any more pressure than what it takes to turn the wheel. What kind of pump didd you use? Some of those old pumps also have a filter on the inside. Why not rig up a pressure tester and check the flow while you are at it> Questions? J/
