Replace your coil wire again! My old neighbor had an '84 that was doing the same thing. Left him stranded one day and I was the only one that he could get a hold of. I got to where he was parked and was looking over everything, he got inside and hit the starter, I could here a "snapping" sound and was able to pin point it. The coil wire was resting against a bracket and had wore through causing it to ground. All I did was turn the wire away from this bracket and the truck fired right up. He went to the parts store and got a new wire. When he got home he took a piece of heater hose, split it long ways, and put it over the wire where it might rub that bracket... No more problems!
