My clutch was giving me trouble on my 97 Ranger gears grinding and all. So i took it in to the local Ford dealer they put in a new clutch and it still ground gears. they said the Sincros were out in the tranny. I took it to another Ford dealer after they played with it for 2 hours they told that the shifter forks were bent. So i took it to a local shop that I heard was good. He walked up to the front of the truck asked what it was doing and told him and he said that the slave cylinder was bad they were bad on these Ranger so he put an after market one and no more problem. Now why couldn't those Ford Guys do that I told them that the clutch wasn't releasing and even showed one what it was doing. he still blamed it on the shifter forks. Sometime I think these big shops just want to make more money from you. Walt
