If you want to make a trailer, the easy way is to cut the frame (a good Sawsall with a Lenox brand 12 TPI metal cutting blade is best) Cut as far forward as possible, way under the cab so the two frames stick out as far as possible to form the triangle of the tongue of the trailer. Be sure to block things up very well, and remove the fuel tank before starting to avoid fires. I would replace the rear axle with a tube axle from a trailer store rather than keeping the truck banjo (which weighs too much in a trailer and makes them handle less well and pull harder.
