Try some RISLONE (sp) oil treatment. I'm not much of one to promote 'overhaul in a can' products, but I did pour it in a knocking, leaking Chevette and it did the job for awhile. The oil consumption went from a quart every 250 to a quart every 1200 mi. and the knock quieted a bit. Now the evils are coming back but the additive did work for 10000 miles or so. Jim
