He sure had a great life. I had the pleasure of knowing the oldest active pilot a few years ago. He was Ralph Charles from Thornville, Ohio and owned and flew his own airplane till he broke his hip at age 102. He maintained his farm and had an airstrip he maintained and did the work on his own plane. Could read a newspaper without glasses and thought his 65 year old girlfriend was too old. He died at 104 in his sleep... Gene
