Wow! I sure pray that the find the cause quick. I find it odd if it was a poisening that there would not have been some what of a time period that one of the peoiple noticed something, called the vet, asked a doctor, told a freind, relative. Makes you wonder with all that is happening with stuff made in China, how easy would it be to have tainted water filters made in another country?? I am sure we dont test for stuff like that coming into the country, look how long it takes them to find tainted food. My sympathy to the family.
