I am moving up from a 1/2 to to a 3/4 pickup either new or slightly used. I will be putting a slide in camper in the bed and pulling a 3000lb tractor behind it. Any suggestions on which trucks hold up the best, Chevy, Ford or Chrysler. Are there any particular problems I should be aware of on used 2000 and newer trucks. I have heard that some of the Ford diesel trucks had some engine issues and I have noticed that some of the used Dodge trucks already have new transmissions in them. Any advice would be appreciated. Also is the extra expense worth it for a diesel engine.
