I think it is ridiculous what those folks make too but let's look at it this way. If you are willing to pay $70+ for a ticket to watch a game. $5 for a soda or $9 for a beer while there, Then whatever inflated price you have to pay for a shirt or cap then it's not their fault.

Personally I think I would enjoy make a few million a year to work in the machine shop that I do, I sure wouldn't turn it down. However the customer (Or fans in sports case) won't pay that price so I don't make that much.

If the fans will quit going to the games and paying those ridiculous prices then the owners can't afford to pay the players and they won't make as much.
