First, observe wireing connections. Label if necessary. Drain oil out. Stand Snapper upright. Clutch disk on bottom of crankshaft has to be removed. There is a setscrew holding it in place and I think a keyway with key. Loosen setscrew and tap clutch disk back and forth to loosen on shaft. Remove disk. Loosen bolts holding engine on frame, remove gas line, wireing, and throttle connections and lift engine out the top. You may have to take the sliding clutch assembly out to get the disk down off the shaft. Its been a while since I did this so I may have details confused, but that is the general approach. I don't know about the 11 hp going in a 7 hp application problem. You will have to figure that out on your own.
