Chanute AFB; Rantoul Ill. Now that sure brings back memories from years past. I spent the summer of 1977 studing auto mechanics at that base. I also remember going to some joint in Urbana-Champaign and drinking 3.5 beer because I was not old enough to drink the harder stuff. Never even heard of 3.5 beer before that time. Saw more corn that summer than I have ever seen before or since. Was quite a change for a boy from the deep south.
