Hydroponics is a great way to grow veggies. The Hay made from (I believe this is the name) sawgrass is in great demand. I makes about 1300 gals of ethanol per acre. Several cuttings per year . I have a friend that is keeping a dozen or so alpacas and sells the wool. Goats are a good investment. If you are really interested in accomplishing a living from 30 acres I believe there are many diverse ways of doing it.
