I'm also on Win98. & dial up. New forum loads fine for me.
I bet that most of the computers you guys are having problems with, have about 7 - 12 icons in your lower tool bar. (Next to your clock) I only have one icon. (Speaker Icon)
What that means is that you have a lot of other programs runing in the background that is slowing down your computer !
