Maybe this question was answered before, but I didn't catch it. But why does ytmag have 2 different forums going at once. In the new one I can't post any photos from Photobucket but in the old one I have been doing it for years. Just wondering????

I like the new and "modern" approach when i want to see what posting is being kept alive. Those with preferences are in no way limited, and those finding value in both are also comfortable... Let us not carp at oneanother for trivial reasons. JimN

Well said Jim. I never thought I'd like the new forum software but I've been using it most of the time lately and like a lot of its features. Old forums are still there for the users who like them. I don't know how the YT folks pulled it off but it seems to work quite well.

One forum could not handle the sheer amount of stupid questions and answers posted by the yuppies, wanna bee farmers, and small time gardeners.

And on the new forum there is no connection that shows up on by screen in any place as I have hunted for it but do not plan on using it. I think when someone replies to a post on the old forum using the new one the post is very hard to read.

I'm also on Win98. & dial up. New forum loads fine for me.

I bet that most of the computers you guys are having problems with, have about 7 - 12 icons in your lower tool bar. (Next to your clock) I only have one icon. (Speaker Icon)

What that means is that you have a lot of other programs runing in the background that is slowing down your computer ! third party image

I like the old forum a lot, I use it all the time. I don't like the new forum. YT left the old forum for people who liked the old one better.

I agree, hooray for the old forum. If the new forum became exclusive, I would have to reconsider using this site.

Ok You lost me . What have I missed ? I don't know about any other forum -DUH? How do I find it DUH? I have the slowest dialup ( 40,000 bps ) and a ten year old computer with windows 98 still and using the newer forums takes forever and a day to load with all the ads and smileys crap so I hope this one isn't being faised out ? Can't afford a new computer or satellite for 50 bucks or more a month . I pay 20 a month for this dialup and that's to much . OH the pain - The pain ! ...Randy

Randy look at the top of the forum page and the words Modern View will be there. Just click on that and it will take you to the new forum.

YTs attempt at keeping the peace between us.The "regulars", myself included, like the simplicity of the older forum, while the new crowd like the new type of forums.I see advantages of both, so I use both.

Some of us really enjoy working on/with old tractors and tending the land and livestock that we have. These things take most of our time. So we don't have a lot of time to go searching through pages of posts to read about that topic we were interested in yesterday. So we use the modern forum to save time. I can use the modern forum twice as much and in half the time. Sorry if this may disappoint some traditional users may I suggest that they start a new forum that only uses Kermit or UNIX to keep trend with their vintage ideals.

Yep, gotta make everything more compicated. Only thing I like is it list reponces in order. Pretty soon we will all have cute little pictures and fellows with slow modems will be left behind. .
