My wife is a great cook, wonderful mother and grandmother, and doesn't know an oil change from a muffler bearing. She thinks the "E" on the gas gauge means "Enough!" I keep track of when the oil needs to be changed, check the pressure in the tires, and make sure the lights all work. I make a habit of taking her car for a drive every couple of weeks to see which tire is out of balance from whatever was hit recently. My advice is to manage the oil changes on your own and enjoy her for the fine qualities that attracted you to her in the first place.
