You haven't been married a year yet so you're on the steep side of the learning curve. The short answer as to wheather it is too much to ask is yes. So quit expecting her to watch something on the dash like the odometer (your lucky if she watches the speedometer) and figure out a way to deal with it without involving her. That's why she married you! Your love life will thank you for it.
