It has been more than 35 years since I handled any dynamite. But at that time, we just crumbled the leftovers with bare hands while walking in a plowed field. Getting each stick a good distance away from the others is desirable if you plan to move them at all. Move them one at a time. Calling for official disposal is a good idea for old stuff.
