CAT D-4 PROBLEMS

When my husband first brought this old dozer home,we were having some trouble with it.The pony motor would run but could not get the diesel engine to run.The 4 filters that were in it were very dirty.He cleaned them all out and put them back in.He finally got it running.Even pushed a little dirt with it, then parked it until the next day.He bought all new filters for it, changed them, and now it doesn't want to run.Anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks
