I have a 1999 F150 with a V6 in it and i have always used Quaker State 10W30 in it. It has 168,000 miles on it and does not use any oil between changes at 3,000 to 4,000 mile. I haul some pretty heavy loads with it at times and have never had a problem. My money is on QS oil.
