I don't want anybody tinkering with my stuff. I am happy to bring it to shows so that folks can look at it. On the other hand every time I have ever seen a child asking their Mom or Dad if they can get on and the parent says no, I've quietly said to the parent, "this one is mine, and I don't mind if they get on as long as I am here and you help them on and off". Each and every time both the parent and child have treated the tractor just fine, and there is not much more satisfying than seeing how happy a they are sitting on the tractor.
