how much to fill a funk pump drive on excavator

Hi,
I am trying to figure out how much gear oil to put in a funk pump drive on my excavator. It is a triple drive, one on top, two on bottom. There are 4 plugs, two on the top one and two for the bottom two. When you put oil in the top hole, it flows down to the bottom drives. So, do you fill it to the lower drive plugs or up to the upper drive plug??? Sorry if it is a stupid question.
