Hate to sound like a broken record, but if its a garden tractor with with a cast iron engine its 12HP engine is the equivelent of a 16-18HP engine on a new model. My JD 110 has a 10hp Koehler running a 39" deck and my Cub 1450 has a 14HP Koehler running a 50" deck, neither is lacking for power. The price does seem a bit high, but its not completely out line.
