my 1982 s-10 2.5 5 speed i get 28-30 mpg. we take my buddys older 1986 gmc 4X4 1/2 ton 350v8 on a 400 mile trip twice a year and we get 16mpg with gear in the back. where getting just as good if not better than my other buddys new 1/2 ton chevy 4X4. he runs premium and doesent lay on the gas pedal. not bad for a heavy ol" 4X4.
