Hi Guys, I am tired of getting off my tractor to adjust the turn buckle top link on my old International 230 tractor, so I went to tractor supply and bought an 8in x 2.5in hydraulic cylinder to replace it with. I use a 7 ft blade and a scoop a lot for drive way work. The scoop is the main problem. The 3 point hitch on the 230 used to be a fast hitch and it is about twice as long as the added top link. It connects way up under the tractor. Problem is nothing attached will stay parallel. If I use the turnbuckle to level out the scoop for scooping something, when I raise the hitch the scoop tilts and the contents drop out. I have to get off the tractor and crank the turnbuckle all the way in before raising the scoop, so I am trying a hyd cylinder. Do you think a cylinder will be able to handle the stress of grading and what ever else? Thanks!
