6.5 diesel

Calling Jdemaris or anyone else that has changed a 6.5 diesel in a 94 chevy pu. Son's 6.5 broke a rod. We pulled the old engine and would like to have some tips on putting the new one in. Standard trans and 4x4, as tight as it was to get out I can't imagine putting the new one in. Had to take the motor mounts off the frame to get out. Pan hits the axle. Do we need to drop the front axle? I don't want any problems when we start.
