And they don't impose high taxes on gas here? How many other business in the U.S. make less profit on there product than the goverment does. Gas companies make a couple pennies per gallon while the goverment in my state makes $.43/gallon of state and federal gasoline taxes and then add a 6% sales tax on top of that, so as the prices increase the state makes more money from us. So right now with the prices in my area of Michigan around $3.59/gallon U.S, the goverment gets $.65/gallon. So in simple terms the goverment adds 65 cents for the cost of a gallon of gasoline which is complete profit, the gas company in town I buy my farm gas from told me he makes 2 cents per gallon. We are taxed just a little less than England and Canada, but not far from it. That communist socialist be--atch governor we have is proposing a state goods and service tax, state inhearentice tax and increase the state sales tax and income tax.
