The price of gas / Diesel. People keep talking about the SUV people. I had a 1993 Honda civic 5 spd that got 45 mpg but was no rocket on the highway. I am a careful x truck driver that is a defensive driver that does not tailgate. After 3 near death experience with SUF and big trucks on super highway wile commuting for factory job. I traded my Honda and a 1989 Ford F350 4x4 dump in on a 1999 F350 4X4 diesel 6 spd single rear wheel pick up that gets a around 21 mpg .I save on insurance and registration by doing this. Do I need it yes and no . I feel much safer driving it around with all of the cell phone texting speeding northeast traffic of the people going on 4 hours of sleep trying to keep up with the Jones and hold on to their mcmansion. Could I get something smaller to drive yes but will I no .One of my pleasers in life is old iron and shows and when I can not do that whats left. My next truck will be a vintage Peat or Autocar or Mack with QQ plates. I will not pay 40 or 50 K for another Ford PSD and the BS to register it correctly in the great state of PA to pull my gooseneck. My point here is there are a ton of people who had small cars and got rid of them as I did for their own safety. North East Puller
