It depends on what you are trying to kill. If it's just broadleaf weeds, 2,4,-D is cheap and safe if used per the label instructions. If it's woody plants or some of the more invasive noxious weeds, you need something else, like Weedmaster, Crossbow, etc or their generic equivalents.
