Aloha, At work, we used to run it 24/7 for years and didn"t have any problems. It true that your hard drive will have more wear and tear and also that the fan will pick up a lot of dust. Every so often, we would open up the computer and remove the dust (it acts like a vaccum cleaner) . Turning on and off electronic equipment will create small surges that in time will cause damage to the system (this may take years but it will happen) so we found out that leaving it on 24/7 gives it a little longer life. I turn on my home computer in the morning and turn it off at night before I go to sleep but on weekends, I leave it on so the scheduled routines gets done. Mahalo, doogdoog
