Those type chips are no longer used - so it boils down to 1) power consumption, 2) convenience of "instant-on", 3) downloading updates in the off-hours when you aren't on it, and how paranoid you are on security. So a lot is just your preference.

Also, if they are forecasting big storms, for example, on the weekend, I'll turn my office PC off for the weekend.
