Its not nessarily a cheap bearing, its just grafite as opposed to a roller type bearing. When serviced properly they can last for a good while.They are greasable and the grease just kinda seeps out of the grafite. If you have never greased it, then I have no doughts its wore out. The one in my 49 Cub is about 19 years old, and although it hasnt seen any serious work in about 4 years its still working fine.In fact the clutch facings went before the bearing did.Dealer has the roller type replacement for the grafite type.
