Don't know about the re-rod, but the standard corner set-up is horizontal brace from corner post to next post (I put the two posts 7 feet apart, so I can use a fence post as the horizontal brace), then wire from bottom of corner post to the height of the horizontal brace on the next post, and tighten with a handy stick.
