Emerald ash Borer bug?

My BIL came over today and we cut down some dead trees and I used my neighbors big tree chipper. I have from what I can tell 5 ash trees that are just about dead from the emerald ash borer, We cut down a large ash tree and I got 30 logs 12" diam. from it. Is this bug a flying bug?
Is this bug all over the USA?
