Looks like Im with Gerald (as usual) on this one. On 6 volt systems I recommend the biggest heaviest highest rated battery that will physically fit into the compartment and the use of good heavy 00 Gauge Battery n Starter n Ground Cables, keep all the connections clean n tight and the engine well tuned n she oughta start n run just fine even in extreme cold climates. That way shes all original and replacement parts are standard n she not jusr rigged. Often if they dont crank well in winter theres other problems the cause. Of course, if you wanna convert its your tractor and your choice and I will admit they do crank faster at 12 volts but theres things to convert etc. John T
