But also, in talking about it over lunch with some farmer friends, I'll bet it took out a bunch of wheat fields on either side of town, and I'd guess those farmers might be out of luck - since some hail insurance wouldn't necessarily cover tornado damage to the wheat.

Sort of like the "wind blown water" versus "flood damage" that the insurance companies argued about in New Orleans...
