I was jump starting my Dad's car one night and there was the slightest spark when I put the positive cable on..the explosion blew all the caps off of the battery into my face, luckily the side tap was only a few feet away and I was able to wash my eyes and face..I have since seen two batteries explode and I mean explode..into pieces with a loud bang like a shotgun...Batteries are very explosive!..the gases produced by them is very volitile
