I don"t know anything about the Yanmar dipstick, but if you can find a similar trans., I would take a look at it and see how it is built. That way, you can see if any damage will occur or it will give you a clue on how to do it. Most of the dip sticks that I saw, can be removed by just pulling it out. Mahalo,
