I have one that does it also. I have tried high octane gas but that doesn't help. I bought mine when it had 20,000 mi. on it. It has always pinged like that during acceleration I have 162,000 on it now. Mine will also idle fast when I come to a stop light. Have never been able to figure it out. Maybe someone on here will know.
