First of the series was the B-250 -late 1950s. The B-275 was an upgrade - and subsequently, the B-414 was an upgrade to the B-275. The B-275 has improved steering and slightly more power than the B-250 and its BD-144 engine is rated at 33 PTO horsepower. The BD-414 got a 154 engine with a max. around 36 PTO horsepower. I've had them all on a dyno the power output has been consistent to posted specs. I've got two B-275s and also one B-414. They are all very rugged tractors but poor cold-weather starters. That is especially true with the early B-275 that use CAV in-line pumps with air-governors and a throttle-valve in the air-intake. Mahindra still uses the B-414 engine but upgraded it to direct-injection. They also still make and sell the basic tractor with some upgrades and more modern sheet-metal.
