When I was a boy, I watched my dad pull a big draft horse out of a big, steep irrigation canal with a John Deere A. He somehow tied a log chain to the horse's front legs above the ankle joint. Horse got up, shook himself off and was none the worse for wear. Darned things will fight that bog and wear themselves out. They get muscle tired and just simply don't have the strength anymore to "Get up and walk out". Allan
