I hauled in a load of REAL JUNK last week. You know the stuff. If a pack rat like me says it's scrap, it's S.C.R.A.P. While I was at the scrap yard, I couldn't help but notice a pile of wheel weights and suitcase weights that was about to be loaded in a rail car. The guy at the scales said a John Deere dealers truck dropped them off a few days earlier. Apparently they're worth more as scrap than they are as weights. All sorts of brands in the pile. Probably 100 or so pieces. Cashier wouldn't hear of selling any to me. When this stuff is gone, it's gone forever.
